Hello, and welcome to the official site of the LLUA. Over a decade ago, our Founder and Sponsor Mr. Jeffrey Lebowski decided that it was time to take action. Time to stand up and be a man. Time to support his community and ultimately to give something back to the streets that had taken so much from him in his younger days. He put forth a mandate to those without the necessary means, to provide them with the necessary means for higher achievement.

What makes a man? Is it being prepared to do the right thing? Is it living a life of achievement, meeting challenges, overcoming obstacles? Or is it the besting of competitors, winning out where others have lost. Mr. Lebowski has accomplished more than most men, and without the use of his legs.

We are here to help bolster our own community because charity starts at home. These inner city children of promise have the right to go to college, and the LLUA is here to make that happen. Each one of our children will live up to that commitment and provide, by example, an image of success. The ability to pull one's own self up by the bootstraps and make something of themselves.
